Experienced and Professionally Licensed Educator/Tutor (Specializes in Special Education, K-6 and Math 6-8)
Bio: Ona is a licensed teacher and has been teaching for over 14 years now, specifically working in the area(s) of Special Education, Math, and with lower and advanced-level learners. Ona started her teaching career working in an alternative high school, as a Math and Social Studies teacher for 8th, 9th and 10th grade students, specifically working with students who had IEPs.
For the last couple of years Ona has been employed as a middle school Math teacher for grades 6 and 7, and has taught grade level and advanced classes. She currently holds a professional teaching license as a Special Education Generalist (K-12), Elementary Educator (K-6), and Math Educator(6-8).
Ona understands that learning is all about being able to conceptualize ideas in order to fully grasp new concepts. She is dedicated to making sure that every student she works with is able to do just that!
What Ona loves about tutoring is being able to give students the opportunity to experience success in their academics!

Erica received her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from California State University Sacramento where she graduated cum laude. She has also passed the Praxis Exams for teaching reading on the elementary level, as well as elementary education for science, math, and social studies. She is currently applying for her Colorado Teaching license.

Bio:
Amanda has been a teacher for 4 years and this year will be her 5th year as an elementary school teacher. She taught Kindergarten, 5th grade, and spent a semester student teaching in 3rd grade. This upcoming school year, she will be teaching 3rd grade. She grew up in Minnesota, where she received her Master of Arts in Elementary Education (K-6) at the University of St. Thomas after completing my Bachelor of Arts in Community Health, minoring in Spanish.
Outside of the classroom, Amanda has coached Girls on the Run, Middle School Cross Country, and has been a lead tutoring program at her elementary school! Community is an important pillar of her beliefs within education.

She believes teachers should provide a positive and productive learning environment while expecting great things from all of their students. Teachers should engage with students personally as well academically to help build relationships. Every student is unique and learns in a different way. There she worked as a lead teacher and in an Integrated Co-Teaching classroom, serving all students, including students with IEPs and students that are multilingual learners. In 2013, after teaching for 7 years, she went on to become the founding principal of P.S. 516, also in Brooklyn, NY, which served 525 students in dual language classrooms and became one of “Brooklyn’s Top 26 Out-Performing Neighborhood Elementary Schools”. After relocating to Denver, CO with her family in 2019, Jill joined Rocky Mountain Prep Southwest, a charter school in southwest Denver, to continue to work as a 5th grade lead teacher. She holds a current professional license in Elementary Education (K-6) with certification in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse education.
Jill recognizes that strong relationships are the backbone of learning and works to build enduring connections with students to support their learning goals. Jill loves when a student feels confidence and pride in themselves after putting in hard work and effort along the way!

Early on in his senior year of highschool he began to tutor his little cousin(8) weekly on enhancing his reading, writing and spanish skills and which he has grown tremendously.
He deeply understands that tutoring is all about being able to maintain patience,sympathy and consideration towards your students. Every student is different and it is important to remain flexible to adjust to their recommended needs at all times.
